Surfing Greece-Surfing Mykonos:
The Surf Center is in the middle of Kalafati Bay, directly on the
sandy beach and 10 meters from the sea. Under the roof, protected from the
wind and the sun, you can watch the tricks of the windsurfers - with a
cold drink and a snack, both available at the center. Later you can end
the surfing day with friends.Next to the center
there are sunbeds and umbrellas, a children's play-ground, a beachbar, two
Greek taverns and an Italian restaurant and pizzeria.
Other sport facilities:Beach volley-ball,
water skiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, tennis courts, a gymnasium, and a
diving center.Group dinners, beach parties and
camp fires are happening frequently.
Windsurfing Greece/Windsurfing Mykonos:
Led by Pezi and his Team, the station
lies on the sandy 1 km long, Kalafati beach. Pretty much swept daily by
the Meltemi, this
wind can often reach Bft 6 in the afternoons.
This spot offers amazing possibilities to
entry level sailors and intermediates, as the wind is normally moderate in
the morning, ruffling the turquoise to deep blue water. The bay offers an
amazing array of possibilities: its shape makes being swept out
impossible; there is a flat water strip for speed freaks and freestylers
to windward as well as small waves for jumping in the lee. Somewhat
further out, the waves can build up to as much as 2 -4 metres in height,
which is great for high jump and backloops. It is not for nothing that the
European Freestyle Protour took place for the
second time at Pezi´s station in 2006.
Mykonos does not only rock on the water: the nightlife rocks too.
Mykonos Town is filled with enough bars and discos to earn its place
rightfully as the best and most well known party destination under the
stars of the southern Aegean...
